Uji lies in the Yamashiro basin, between Kyoto and Nara. Mist from the Uji and Kizu rivers tempers light and temperature over the tea fields. Tea has been grown here for more than 800 years. The Uji range includes blends, single-cultivar, single-origin, and koicha products.

The Yame tea region spreads along the Yabe River basin in Fukuoka. Rainfall, marked day-to-night temperature changes, and frequent mist define the growing environment. The wholesale range includes matcha from Yame.

Iga is an inland basin in Mie with marked temperature changes and frequent seasonal mist. The range includes certified organic matcha from Iga. Organic certification applies to that product, not to the region or collection as a whole.
